I just have to say the the American Idol finale surpassed all of my expectations. It really was perfect. I even like Kara a little more now. I watched it with a group of girl friends and we had a BLAST! This was my favorite finale of all time and here are my favorite moments----
David Cook singing Permanent- He is sooooooo amazing. I put his CD back on repeat. It really is that good. Before Idol David was in a band called Axium. They recorded a few albums. I own them. I also own his solo album Analog Heart. I honestly don't know how he wasn't discovered before now.
Anyway one of my favorite songs is called AC. It is also about his brother and his fight with cancer. Enjoy!
Okay back to how much this show made me happy!
Nick Mitchell aka Normund Gentle. I truly truly love this kid and would pay money to see him perform. He is hilarious!

How well Bikini girl pulled off being shocked and Kara singing much much better then her. I am happy Kara pulled off the song because she sucks at judging and whoa nelly that song she wrote is just so beyond awful. Brittney heard it on the radio three times today and I listened to it several times to see if it would grow on me. Yeah it didn't.
Allison and Cyndi Lauper singing together. Probably my favorite duet of the night! I soooo wish they would record this. It was AH MAZING. I can't wait to see how well Allison does! She is soooo brilliant.
Matt Giraud sounding really really good. Probably the best I have ever heard him.

Getting on Itunes and being able to instantly purchase studio versions of both Kris and Adam's best songs from the season. (I have listened to them repeatedly today and I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with both but I think Adam's might be my favorite by a very very small margin but depending on my mood that could very easily change.)
Seeing 12 Kris Allen and 11 Adam Lambert songs in the download top 100.
Seeing both of their Best of Season 8 albums in the top 5.
Seeing the entire top 25 video downloads slammed packed with Kris, Adam and American Idol in general.
On a side note. I read the funniest story that came from an unnamed source who may or may not have been in the Top 36 with Tatiana. Story goes, the top 50 had to fill out intense psychological tests. And Ju’Not Joyner got up in the middle of the room while they were taking the test and said, “Tatiana, when they put your scan-tron in the machine it’s gonna go kabloom!!!” HAHAHA!

Finally the Final
I was surprised by how much I loved the final especially considering the season was "just okay" for me. It may have been my favorite AI final of all times. I think either guy could easily win and do very very well. The best moment for me was when Kara realized how much her song SUCKED. I mean Adam "can sing the phone book" Lambert didn't even get the judges praise when he sang it and Kara herself asked people not to judge Kris on the song but on the season. Too bad that horrendous unoriginal piece of garbage is going to be the winner's first single. You could totally tell that Simon HATED it.
I tried to vote for over an hour and a half and only got through one time but at least I can say I voted for Kris. I actually think he may win. I thought his first two performances were amazing. I have no idea what the judges were talking about when they said his second song was to tame for the stage. I hit rewind and watched it again that's how fantastic I thought it was. I wish Simon Fuller would have picked Kiss by Prince for Adam but I am in love with that suit he was wearing! Do you think I could get Travis to wear one like that??

If Kris goes home tonight I will blame myself. I didn't watch or vote last night. According to Dial Idol Kris and Danny's votes are super super super close.

Is Ryan Psychic?
One quick comment on last weeks result show. I LAUGHED my butt off when Adam actually picked a group (no one PICKS a group, I mean come on now) and then LAUGHED even harder when he chose the wrong group. Too too funny. I have been trying to figure out for weeks if Adam is cocky or not and now I have my answer.
Ryan told Oprah back in March (when there were 13 contestants left) who he thought would be the top four. Now that his prediction has come true everyone is asking if the show is rigged. Seriously if the show was indeed rigged I don't think Ryan would drop names like that. But who knows maybe it just slipped.
I didn't get to watch last night or vote I was too tired to stay up after my run and porch visit with Amy and Maren.
I watched it this morning and I really really wish I would have voted last night. I am pretty sure Kris is in trouble. I wish he would have taken a rock song and changed it up to have a more pop/folk feel instead of trying to pretend to be a rocker. It just didn't work. There were a couple parts of the song that I loved but overall it was exactly what Simon said "a jam session".
Danny was sooooo beyond dreadful but the producers probably knew he would suck rock week so they gave him the coveted final performance slot to guarantee his safety. Kara actually said something intelligent when she told him he took their swagger comment a little too far. Wouldn't it be funny if Adam and Danny made the finals and the producers decided to have Adam sing Dream On. I can guarantee he would hit that note!
Allison looked so adorable with her pigtails but I cracked up over how nervous she was singing with Slash. She is a cutie. I liked what Adam's hairdresser did with her hair too but I think she looked the best last week. I would have voted for her if I had watched. I really wish she and Kris could beat out Danny.
Adam was brilliant. I have been waiting all season to hear him sing some Zeppelin and he rocked the house. I was surprised to hear Randy say it wasn't Broadway because I still got a bit of a Broadway feel from it. I know Adam is a little over the top for some people but the boy can sing and he does it beautifully!! The club of artists who match with what Adam can do vocally is pretty small; Robert Palmer, Freddy Mercury and Steven Tyler. I think I would buy his album. I would like to see him in a band rather then as a solo artist though.
The duets were probably my favorite part of the show. Kris and Danny sounded brilliant during the harmonies and Allison and Danny's voices are perfect together. I wish Kris would have sounded a little better during his solo parts but I loved both performances.
Simon irritated me with him comment that Adam may have kept Allison in the competition. Ummmm huh? Seriously? And Kara's outfit was seriously just bad. She is taking the rock theme a little too seriously I think.
Dial Idol is making it look pretty close and I don't even know why Vote for the Worst is even bothering anymore but they chose Danny. That means they will probably be pushing him until the end. Stupid because they have been his biggest opponents since day one of the producers shoving him down our throats. Of this top four I honestly think Allison will sell the most records.
Also did you hear that Paula has admitted to being addicted to painkillers.

Hi 5
I am still confused about the theme. What exactly is "Rat Pack"?
I am also so very sad that because of the addition of Kara (whom I hate) we only get one song per contestant when in ALL other seasons we got two at this point. Why do we need a fourth judge again?
Last night was full of Paula using words I swear she had to have on note cards in front of her and they still didn't make her sound intelligent, Kara enjoying all things sleazy and Simon disagreeing with all the other judges just for the sake of disagreeing. Add that to Danny sounding like he wanted to throttle someone during a "love" song and it really wasn't that enjoyable of a show.
I heard Taylor Hicks is going to perform on tonight's result show. Next year they should have him and Danny do a duet.
Things I liked; Jamie Foxx as a mentor. He seemed to actually have real advise to give even if I liked Matt's song better in the higher octave. I also loved loved loved Alison's hair, she didn't look like a troll doll for the first time this season. But my favorite thing about Idol last night- that made me jump up and down and scream like a 12 year old David Archuletta fan was the commercial announcing that So You Think You Can Dance starts May 21st!!!!!!!!!!!
Bottom three will be Kris, Alison and Matt with Matt going home.
I voted for the Cocker Spaniel.
I am excited for next week's rock week theme with Slash from Guns N Roses! Too bad they aren't just doing G N R songs now that would be UH MAZING!!!!

Top Seven Take Two
I totally know who I want to win now! Kris was UH MAZING last night. My votes only went to him and will only go to him from here on out. He took a super overplayed, overrated song and made it totally lovable. It was pretty fantastic. Did you notice how crazy short Kris is though? Ryan (who is about five foot nine) is taller then him by at least an inch or two!
Lil sounded terrible and her outfit was worse. I don't know what she isn't getting when the judges tell her she doesn't sound original. She hasn't sounded good since Hollywood and even then I didn't like her. I am sure Vote for the Worst is super proud of her this week. I just checked thier site and they even say she doesn't get this show. LOL! I am now beyond ready for her to be GONE.
Danny was booorrrring and the dancing of course made me laugh. I thought he was actually off pitch in several spots and was surprised to hear the judges say he is always pitch perfect.
Allison and Adam were both decent and I think they have what it takes to make it in the industry. I am sure they will be fine regardless of how far they get on the show, although I still see Adam as more of a Broadway kind of guy.
Matt super disappointed me with his song choice. I was just waiting for Simon to say they wasted the save on him. It was just really really bad. I really hope that he manages to stick around one more week to redeem himself but I that is probably just wishful thinking.
Anoop proved again he can only sing ballads and wow that last note was painful. He totally knew it too- his facial expression was priceless. I laughed so hard when Ryan commented on his eyebrow job LIVE on national TV. Hilarious!!! I was literally rolling!
Paula was also in rare form- her comments were even more off the wall then usual and I was with Simon in needing a translator. And Randy is an absolute IDIOT if he thinks this is the best top seven they have had. I don't think it is the worst top seven but I am pretty sure it is a far cry from the best.
Dial Idol is saying the whole thing is too close to call but I think the bottom three will be Anoop, Matt and Lil with Anoop and Matt going home. I think Lil will get enough votes from Vote for the Worst and the other sympathy voters to stick around one more week. Looks like Ryan is going to be right in his top 4 prediction of Kris, Adam, Danny and Allison. Interesting........
If it were up to me the perfect finale would be Kris and Allison with Kris as the winner but yeah that isn't going to happen. I don't know if I will be able to stomach a Danny, Adam finale. ICKY!
You know what is funny I have been thinking and the single guys are the ones who get all the votes. Look at Daughtry and Michael Johns they both were mad talented and got voted off wayyyy too early. I was shocked in both instances. I guess since I am already taken I don't base my votes on dreams of hooking up with one of these guys.

Seriously?
American Idol was seriously beyond boring tonight. Pretty much everyone was beyond dull to watch and though he has an amazing voice, Adam scared me. And why in the heck is freak show Quentin Tarantino mentoring the contestants- what on earth does he know about singing?
I voted for Kris and Matt just because I like them not because I thought they were any good. Well Kris was okay (I do love the song he sang) but yeah they all pretty much sucked.
Vote for the Worst is rooting for Lil now which really annoys me because I think they may help keep her around another week and I am soooo ready for her to go home.
I hate having four judges- I want to hear what Simon has to say every time and I don't want to hear what Kara has to say any of the time.
I wont mention anything about Danny because my sister n law says I have a shriveled up cold heart but here is a little blast from the past for your viewing pleasure
My prediction is Lil, Anoop and Matt in the bottom three- I think that between the fan base she already has and the vote for the worst crowd Lil will edge out and it will be Anoop going home.

And then there were nine
I actually always look forward to weeks where they have to choose popular songs and try to make them sound original. To me it is the week where the stars stand out from the Karaoke singers. Someone asked me recently if I type this while I am watching. The answer to that is no. I write down my thoughts on a piece of paper while each contestant is singing and then type it up the next day.
So here are my semi-live opinions
Anoop looks so angry! It is hard for me to focus on his vocals when he looks like he wants to punch someone. Isn't this supposed to be a love song or something.
Megan is singing one of my favorite songs but she is all over the place with it. Honestly I think Megan could do well outside of American Idol. I don't think this competition is quite right for her. I agree with the judges that she should have sang something by Adelle and even though Paula is barely audible tonight I get what she is saying about the stool. Vote for the Worst is pretty scared this week. They are pushing hard to get people to vote for Megan. I don't know how much it is going to help.
Here is Bob Marley and Lauryn Hill singing Turn the Lights Down Low for those of you who don't know how GREAT this song really is.
I just saw a sign in the audience that said GO GO GOKEY. hahahahaha!!! Now that cracks me up. Danny just bores me to tears when he sings. It reminds me of good karaoke or something. He isn't making the song sound fresh or new or anything. I always want to hear the words cruise ship or wedding singer from Simon in regards to Danny but he keeps disappointing me. After the judges gave their critique I was like maybe I am being to hard on the guy so I rewound and I tried really really hard to feel all this emotion they were talking about. I am just not feeling it. At all. If this guy wins I may throw up.
I LOVE Allison's hair and her outfit. She looks wayyy cute. She totally made the song sound new and original at the beginning in the soft parts and I really liked it but then she started shouting it and it all kind of fell apart. I am not really feeling the guitar either. It makes her seem kind of awkward or something. I can't believe the judges are ripping on her outfit! What the heck?
Scott has new hair and it looks kind of like something out of a bad horror flick. This is one of his better vocals, maybe his best. He must be listening to his vocal coaches. It was probably good enough to keep him around another week.
Matt sounds wayyyy rough to me tonight. Almost like he is losing his voice or something. Not good after being in the bottom three last week. I am not ready for him to go home yet.
Lil Rounds looks nice and I like her hair. Her vocals sound totally off to me. This is probably the WORST I have ever heard her sing. It is boring in parts and then over the top in parts. Just a mess all around. She is lucky there are others who sound just as bad. I am totally shocked that the judges even slightly liked it. It was a train wreck to me. Her daughter is way stinkin cute though and awwww Lil is crying. I bet she will get some votes just because of that.
Adam is a RIOT!! I am getting a whole Steven Tyler from Aerosmith vibe from Adam tonight. Oh and Paula agrees. I sooo need to be a judge on this show.
WOW Kris can play the piano too- love it! Love this kid and his Mad Crazy vocals! That seriously was the best of the night for me- well besides for that weird face he made at the end. He is very very good. Glad Kara used her fingers to help her count this time. Goodness.
Paula really seemed out of it tonight, even more then usual, I honestly didn't understand a word she said and she looks like she got a nose job or something. She was so incoherent that I stopped trying to make sense of what she was bumbling on about.
I predict Anoop, Megan and Matt =C will be in the bottom three with Megan going home.
According to Dial Idol it is going to be very very close.

I voted for Kris and Matt with several accidental votes for Adam because I got his and Kris' numbers messed up. Thank goodness I actually like Adam otherwise I would have kicked myself for voting for someone I hate. I really don't like most of the top ten this year. Usually by the time it gets to top ten I am like oooo I don't want anyone to go home, this year I am like ack I don't want to hear this person sing ever again. I love Kris. Adam is crazy and really does have some pretty insane vocal skills- plus I can't wait to see what he will come up with next. I think Matt has talent and I want him to stick around. Allison is decent but honestly I could care less about the rest. If I were to put the contestants in order from best to worst my list would look like this.
1. Kris 2. Adam 3. Matt 4. Allison 5. Megan 6. Anoop 7. Scott 8. Lil Rounds 9. Danny

Vote for the Worst is pretty scared this week. They are pushing hard to get people to vote for Megan. I don't know how much it is going to help.

I just saw a sign in the audience that said GO GO GOKEY. hahahahaha!!! Now that cracks me up. Danny just bores me to tears when he sings. It reminds me of good karaoke or something. He isn't making the song sound fresh or new or anything. I always want to hear the words cruise ship or wedding singer from Simon in regards to Danny but he keeps disappointing me. After the judges gave their critique I was like maybe I am being to hard on the guy so I rewound and I tried really really hard to feel all this emotion they were talking about. I am just not feeling it. At all. If this guy wins I may throw up.
I LOVE Allison's hair and her outfit. She looks wayyy cute. She totally made the song sound new and original at the beginning in the soft parts and I really liked it but then she started shouting it and it all kind of fell apart. I am not really feeling the guitar either. It makes her seem kind of awkward or something. I can't believe the judges are ripping on her outfit! What the heck?
Scott has new hair and it looks kind of like something out of a bad horror flick. This is one of his better vocals, maybe his best. He must be listening to his vocal coaches. It was probably good enough to keep him around another week.
Matt sounds wayyyy rough to me tonight. Almost like he is losing his voice or something. Not good after being in the bottom three last week. I am not ready for him to go home yet.
Lil Rounds looks nice and I like her hair. Her vocals sound totally off to me. This is probably the WORST I have ever heard her sing. It is boring in parts and then over the top in parts. Just a mess all around. She is lucky there are others who sound just as bad. I am totally shocked that the judges even slightly liked it. It was a train wreck to me. Her daughter is way stinkin cute though and awwww Lil is crying. I bet she will get some votes just because of that.
Adam is a RIOT!! I am getting a whole Steven Tyler from Aerosmith vibe from Adam tonight. Oh and Paula agrees. I sooo need to be a judge on this show.
WOW Kris can play the piano too- love it! Love this kid and his Mad Crazy vocals! That seriously was the best of the night for me- well besides for that weird face he made at the end. He is very very good. Glad Kara used her fingers to help her count this time. Goodness.
Paula really seemed out of it tonight, even more then usual, I honestly didn't understand a word she said and she looks like she got a nose job or something. She was so incoherent that I stopped trying to make sense of what she was bumbling on about.
I predict Anoop, Megan and Matt =C will be in the bottom three with Megan going home.
According to Dial Idol it is going to be very very close.
DAVID COOK is going to be on the results show tonight!!!!! I am soooo excited.
I voted for Kris and Matt with several accidental votes for Adam because I got his and Kris' numbers messed up. Thank goodness I actually like Adam otherwise I would have kicked myself for voting for someone I hate. I really don't like most of the top ten this year. Usually by the time it gets to top ten I am like oooo I don't want anyone to go home, this year I am like ack I don't want to hear this person sing ever again. I love Kris. Adam is crazy and really does have some pretty insane vocal skills- plus I can't wait to see what he will come up with next. I think Matt has talent and I want him to stick around. Allison is decent but honestly I could care less about the rest. If I were to put the contestants in order from best to worst my list would look like this.

Results
I don't normally blog about the results show but I just had to say how much I LOVE Joss Stone. I have been listening to her for about six years now and she is wayyyy brilliant. She has some strange political views but I try to not hold that against her. I mean who in Hollywood doesn't? I hope she and Smokey release that song as a single. It was amazing.
No offence to Stevie Wonder but he sounded "pitchy". I ended up fast forwarding through most of the performance. I am sure it was a great experience for the contestants though to see him live.
I was pretty surprised to see Matt in the bottom three but happy he is safe. I guess I will have to vote more for him next week to keep him in. Ryan said he thought the top four would be Adam, Allison, Danny and Kris. I hope Matt can figure out how to edge Danny out. Then I would be happy. I think Adam may end up winning it all. We shall see.

TOP 10
So the contestants singing tonight will make up the American Idol tour. Funny that four out of ten are wild card picks. There are also at least four contestants that I would never pay to go see.
I have never really liked Motown week just because these are some of the most serious overplayed songs in the history of music and it usually ends up being a Karaoke night to me. I am hoping the contestants can do something to make these songs sound original. I am excited to see what Adam comes up with and I wonder if Scott will do a Stevie Wonder song (I doubt it though because he doesn't have the range).
I have to admit that I cracked up with they pulled up to Hitsville and there were like five fans outside. Too funny. The whole crying bit with Lil Rounds seemed a bit put on to me but whatever. Sometimes these intros take way to long I am ready to hear some singing.
I think Matt seriously might be my favorite. That really was fantastic but I totally hate his outfit- those pants were beyond tight they looked gross and I hate that Kara is always making comments about sex.
Wait I think Kris is my favorite. Allias said he is like a David Cook/David Archuletta mix. I can see that a little bit. All I know is that I LOVE him. I think I am going to buy this song on Itunes. I am so happy we got to hear him go a little BIGGER with his voice tonight. His wife is so stinkin' cute. Kara said he did Kris and that he did everything right and I totally agree with her. I have no idea why Simon is telling Kris he needs swagger.
I am ready for Scott to go home. His vocals just aren't that great and he always gives these big annoying speeches at the end of his performances. I did like the backup singers by the piano though. That was pretty cool.
The crayon thing was a little silly. I laughed when I read another blog that said nice they bring out prop humour in front of the blind guy.

Kara is totally making sense tonight and Paula too. Wonders never cease. My Guy really would have been a perfect song for her.
Anoop totally looks like a college student tonight. This song is kind of boring but the vocals aren't terrible or anything.
I think the Wild Cards are really bringing it tonight and I am finding myself liking everything the judges are saying.
Michael doesn't even compare with the other guys this season. I am ready for him to go home too. He didn't take Smokey's advise at all and he sounds like Karaoke night at the bar.
Lil Rounds got a weave. She is recapping her experience at Hitsville. She doesn't sound genuine at all to me. I really don't like this kind of song and she is YELLING. It isn't original at all. Please don't let the judges love it. Randy and Kara got it right!!! Wooohoo for the judges tonight. I told Travis I totally need to be a judge on this show. I just read on another blog that she gave a shout out to Obama after her performance. Glad I was already hitting fast forward.
Adam is kind of freaking me out again. I laughed soooo hard when he came out. Tyler says he looks like Zach Effron in Hairspray!!! LOL! He really does. I am not sure what to think about Adam still. I think I like him and I think he has amazing range but he is kind of a freak. Kara can't count that was eight words. I don't know if I am as exuberant about his performance as the judges but I do think the word relevant fits.
Oooooo GO SOUL PATROL!!!! Danny is sooooo overrated. The other guys in this competition are way way way way better then him. Too bad the producers pushed him so hard in the beginning. Now he has this huge fan base. I am glad the judges have stopped falling all over him.
Allison picked the most perfect song for her voice. She totally rocked it. Way to come back from the bottom three girl.
The judges were really great tonight and I loved how Smokey told the story behind the songs. That was cool. I don't think he really gave anyone any great advise or anything but he was a nice guy and I think he helped build every one's confidence. I thought most of the contestants did a great job "making the songs their own".
I am hoping that the road will end for Michael or Scott. If I had to pick a top four right now I would choose Kris, Matt, Adam and Allison but I just don't see anyway that Danny isn't going to make the final four. Lame. I checked Dial Idol and no shockers there.

I am running a little late on getting my AI recap up today. I am sure you are just dying in anticipation to see what I thought so I apologize and without further ado here are my ever so valued opinions.
I think this new judge entry is kind of silly but whatever and Ryan is looking kind of like Kermit the Frog to me lately. Also before we even get started I just want to say that Danny reminds me of Tayler Hicks (Soul Patrol). Remember him??
I loooathe country night. I am glad we are getting it over with early.
Michael sounds typical country- not anything to write home about but I love the harmonica. He does a good job remembering the crazy lyrics but we wouldn't be able to tell if he forgot.
Ack Paula (and the rest of the judges) are trying to make him country when he really is an R&B kind of guy. I HATE it when they do that. Look at Phil Stacey. So lame.
Allison sounded really great in the little preview and I love her hair and outfit. Her performance was okay.
Kris is still my favorite. He made the song sound very contemporary and fresh. I am wondering if he can do BIG though. His style reminds me of Jason Castro a little bit. The last note was a bit off but he is so adorable. It is funny because I can't stand the weird things Michael does with his mouth when he sings but I love the quirky things Kris does with his.
Lil Rounds just said "quite a few time together" NICE. This is a very sad song and she sounds okay. Nothing spectacular. And wow the judges aren't falling all over her tonight. Shocking.
Adam and Randy Travis together are CRACKING me up!!! Love it!!! I love Johnny Cash and I love this song. Wow Adam's take on it is kind of scary in a kind of cool emo way. Whoa drama but I almost like it. Simon is going to HATE this. I am totally getting a modern Queenish vibe from Adam. One thing I can say is that he has totally stayed true to himself. And just when I thought that Kara could never say anything intelligent she hits exactly how I am feeling about this performance right on the head, "confused but happy".
Scott was just okay for me. He has an interesting tone to his voice and it got better toward the middle but it was still kind of safe. I do like how they are making it possible for him to be on this show- like at the beginning they had Alexis kind of holding on to him as they walked out.
I totally disagree with Paula. Stevie Wonder is ALWAYS behind the piano- it is part of who he is and I think it is the same with Scott.
Alexis is not doing very good. The song is beyond boring and she is seriously out of tune and way "pitchy". And just when I thought I might be able to stand Kara she has to go and say stupid ANNOYING things. Alexis does not need to act/look/sing like a street walker to be good. Kara needs to give it a rest.
Danny looks terrible and doesn't sound much better. Oh my gosh I am dying laughing because I just told Allias that Danny is the new Soul Patrol (aka Tayler Hicks) and he said he was just thinking the same thing! This was Danny's worst performance- I really really really hope he isn't in the finals. Danny is a glorified wedding singer. If he wins I predict he will have just as much success as Tayler Hicks has.
Anoop is the comeback kid for sure! He sounds FANTASTIC. He is making the song fresh and new. I LOVE it. I am also liking him in eyeliner.
Megan has a very original voice. I am still getting the folk rock vibe from her and I actually think I would buy an album she put out if that was the route she went. She looks very pretty tonight but she sooooo needs dance lessons. LOL! I love how the judges brought up the fact that she has the flu and was in the hospital and she is coughing away. Way to milk it. They must really not want her to go home.
Matt is sooooooo BRILLIANT. He sounds so raw and emotional and I LOVE him. He is another one that I would like to see behind the piano every time he sings.
Ryan is right in saying that we have ourselves a competition. To me the Wild Cards were on fire tonight. I voted for Kris, Matt, Adam and Anoop and then threw in a couple votes for Allison and Megan to try and give them an edge over Lil Rounds.
If it were up to me Michael or Lil Rounds would be going home. I am not holding out any hope that Danny will be gone anytime soon.

Is it possible to be boring but good?
They tell people over and over again not to touch Michael Jackson and now they are using his music as a theme. This should be fun. I hope Adam does Thriller, that would be entertaining, but he better not try and sing Billy Jean that song totally belongs to David Cook now. Looking over the top 13 I think America and the judges did a pretty good job. I am actually getting excited for this season and hope they can pull off these songs.
First up Lil Rounds
The first thing I think of when I see her is how over rated she is. I just don't think she is as great as the judges (Kara especially) think she is. She is doing okay- it isn't blowing me away or anything but she looks pretty in pink. Thank you Simon for keeping it real.
Great Kara is going to be as obnoxious as usual. I keep hoping one of the producers will call her out of being so utterly annoying.
Scott is up next- I imagine he will be behind the piano- I am actually excited to see that. I wonder if he will use the piano each week. I am thinking he should- no offense but I am also kind of hoping he starts wearing shades when he sings. He kind of has a George Michael sound to me. I like him- he is making the song sound brand new which is something Lil Rounds didn't do with her song. The thing I like about Scott is you can tell that he totally feels everything he sings. I can't believe Simon said it is okay to be artistic just not on this show. That is an odd thing to say. David Cook was super artistic and look where he is.
Danny has an adorable family. They are making me like Danny better. Terrible song choice but I love his performance. He has a lot of rhythm. I am liking him better tonight even though the song seems a little safe and I just don't see him as selling millions of records. I am glad they didn't mention the dearly departed once. I still think he is way over rated and has been shoved down our throats by the producers for weeks. I will never vote for him no matter how far he goes or how good he gets.
Oil Rig Michael is hard to watch. I don't think he is good enough. I imagine he will be one of the first to go. I just don't think he is original enough and he bores me to tears.
Kara brings absolutely nothing to this show and why is Paula so weepy tonight?
Watching live is really lame. Way too many commercials but this four year old sending pictures on her computer is pretty adorable.
Jasmine looks so cute in pink. She really is an adorable girl- if her singing career doesn't work out she should totally try modeling. I guess that is why the judges keep calling her commercial. She also has a cute family. I am actually surprised that she is doing as good as she is. I think this may be the best I have heard her sing but I am not sure that it is good enough.
Kris is beyond adorable and has an equally adorable wife.
I ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ his voice. I have a feeling Simon is going to call him corny or something. But wow that smile. He is my favorite.
Allison's hair looks pretty tonight. It is so hard to believe she is 16 when she sings. She actually reminds me of Pink a little bit. I think it is funny how confident she seems when she is performing and then she falls apart when she has to have a real life conversation. I don't know if people are going to vote for her or not but I kind of like her.
This top 13 is turning out to be pretty good but other then Kris everyone seems a little boring.
Oh my gosh Anoop why oh why are you going to try and sing Beat It? I mean you are going to end up sounding like Weird Al singing Eat it. I am pretty sure that Beat It should be on some untouchable list somewhere. Especially if you can't dance. Beat It is just as much about the dancing as it is about the singing. Fall Out Boy and John Mayer did an okay copy of this song but you have to have A LOT of attitude to pull it off and I don't think Anoop Dog has it.
Wow Kara actually said something worthwhile. There is a first for everything. I agree with her that there was no emotional connection. I didn't think it was terrible but I think with the calibre of talent we have seen so far I am thinking that anyone who isn't perfect may be going home.
Jorge is easier for me to listen to with my eyes closed and I seriously think he just switched to Spanish part way through the song. I hit rewind just to make sure and I really think he did. Too funny. I don't think he sang very well at all. He may be in danger too.
Megan is wearing a bad bad bad dress. There is something very interesting about Megan's voice. I think that she could actually be good as like a folk rock singer. She sounds really good at points and I hear this funky original tone that I kind of like but then it falls flat more often then not. Her dancing is soooooo corny it makes me laugh. And she just said CAW CAW at the end of the song. WoW
Adam may be growing on me. I can't quite figure him out. Is he super cocky or super humble? Gay or Straight? Just when I start to like him and then he goes all dramatic and screechy. I would like to hear him sing something slower. I watched a YouTube video of a stage performance he did where he played Joshua (Old Testament) and he sang a song that was pretty slow and it was actually good. He seems pretty humble as the judges are talking to him. I am back to liking him again.
Dueling Piano Matt is another favorite of mine. I am sooooooo glad he is part of the top 13. He has such a nice voice and I l♥ve when he is behind the piano. There is so much soul in his voice. I hope he is around for A WHILE! He needs to work on his falsetto a little bit though- it was semi painful to me.
Alexis is so beautiful when she is with her daughter but I am HATING what she is wearing. I think she took Kara's advice to dirty it up a little too seriously. This song is actually perfect for her voice but I agree with Paula that she over sang it. I am telling you that I want to punch Kara in the face. Why is she such a hooker?
Other then tonight being a little on the boring side I think everyone did pretty well. It is going to be a hard choice. Vote for the Worst probably had a very hard time picking someone. I think this top 13 is decent and there are four or five standouts. My guess is that Vote for the Worst went with Anoop but he may be a little too boring for them. Just checked and they chose Megan because she said CAW CAW at the end of her performance. Mentioned something about the fact that Robin's don't go CAW CAW! Too funny.
I didn't really have a chance to vote because I was soooo tired by the end of the show. I did dial in for Dueling Piano Matt a couple times and tried to get through for Kris but it was busy. Hopefully they will still be standing tonight. I am excited to see what the change is and I hope it is something that makes the show better. I read some rumors that the judges are going to pick who goes home out of the bottom two or three. I really hope that isn't it. I think they will lose A LOT of fans if they do that.
If I was to guess who is going home I would go with Jorge, Anoop or Jasmine.
There is another website called Dial Idol that I check. It predicts who is safe and who is in danger. During the first couple of weeks it isn't super accurate but as the season goes on it's usually right on. I know some people don't like spoilers so I wont go into great detail but it looks like Anoop may have gotten the sympathy vote.
First up Lil Rounds
The first thing I think of when I see her is how over rated she is. I just don't think she is as great as the judges (Kara especially) think she is. She is doing okay- it isn't blowing me away or anything but she looks pretty in pink. Thank you Simon for keeping it real.
Great Kara is going to be as obnoxious as usual. I keep hoping one of the producers will call her out of being so utterly annoying.
Scott is up next- I imagine he will be behind the piano- I am actually excited to see that. I wonder if he will use the piano each week. I am thinking he should- no offense but I am also kind of hoping he starts wearing shades when he sings. He kind of has a George Michael sound to me. I like him- he is making the song sound brand new which is something Lil Rounds didn't do with her song. The thing I like about Scott is you can tell that he totally feels everything he sings. I can't believe Simon said it is okay to be artistic just not on this show. That is an odd thing to say. David Cook was super artistic and look where he is.
Danny has an adorable family. They are making me like Danny better. Terrible song choice but I love his performance. He has a lot of rhythm. I am liking him better tonight even though the song seems a little safe and I just don't see him as selling millions of records. I am glad they didn't mention the dearly departed once. I still think he is way over rated and has been shoved down our throats by the producers for weeks. I will never vote for him no matter how far he goes or how good he gets.
Oil Rig Michael is hard to watch. I don't think he is good enough. I imagine he will be one of the first to go. I just don't think he is original enough and he bores me to tears.
Kara brings absolutely nothing to this show and why is Paula so weepy tonight?
Watching live is really lame. Way too many commercials but this four year old sending pictures on her computer is pretty adorable.
Jasmine looks so cute in pink. She really is an adorable girl- if her singing career doesn't work out she should totally try modeling. I guess that is why the judges keep calling her commercial. She also has a cute family. I am actually surprised that she is doing as good as she is. I think this may be the best I have heard her sing but I am not sure that it is good enough.
Kris is beyond adorable and has an equally adorable wife.
I ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ his voice. I have a feeling Simon is going to call him corny or something. But wow that smile. He is my favorite.
Allison's hair looks pretty tonight. It is so hard to believe she is 16 when she sings. She actually reminds me of Pink a little bit. I think it is funny how confident she seems when she is performing and then she falls apart when she has to have a real life conversation. I don't know if people are going to vote for her or not but I kind of like her.
This top 13 is turning out to be pretty good but other then Kris everyone seems a little boring.
Oh my gosh Anoop why oh why are you going to try and sing Beat It? I mean you are going to end up sounding like Weird Al singing Eat it. I am pretty sure that Beat It should be on some untouchable list somewhere. Especially if you can't dance. Beat It is just as much about the dancing as it is about the singing. Fall Out Boy and John Mayer did an okay copy of this song but you have to have A LOT of attitude to pull it off and I don't think Anoop Dog has it.
Wow Kara actually said something worthwhile. There is a first for everything. I agree with her that there was no emotional connection. I didn't think it was terrible but I think with the calibre of talent we have seen so far I am thinking that anyone who isn't perfect may be going home.
Jorge is easier for me to listen to with my eyes closed and I seriously think he just switched to Spanish part way through the song. I hit rewind just to make sure and I really think he did. Too funny. I don't think he sang very well at all. He may be in danger too.
Megan is wearing a bad bad bad dress. There is something very interesting about Megan's voice. I think that she could actually be good as like a folk rock singer. She sounds really good at points and I hear this funky original tone that I kind of like but then it falls flat more often then not. Her dancing is soooooo corny it makes me laugh. And she just said CAW CAW at the end of the song. WoW
Adam may be growing on me. I can't quite figure him out. Is he super cocky or super humble? Gay or Straight? Just when I start to like him and then he goes all dramatic and screechy. I would like to hear him sing something slower. I watched a YouTube video of a stage performance he did where he played Joshua (Old Testament) and he sang a song that was pretty slow and it was actually good. He seems pretty humble as the judges are talking to him. I am back to liking him again.

Idol Results/Wildcards
The results didn't surprise me at all I was pretty sure of who would make it. I was a little surprised by the wild card picks. I laugh because I read/listen to a lot of opinions about American Idol and I hear two sides- those who say the show is totally set up and that the producers only let certain people through based on marketability and then the other side that says they let people like Scott and Danny through because they have a story that brings ratings and then bring in a little drama like Tatiana also for ratings. I imagine it is a little of both. I like the show regardless. It gives me people to love and people to hate for many different reasons and it makes good TV. I think they also try and put through someone for everybody. But think about if they didn't do all these things for ratings they wouldn't sell ad space and then there would be no more American Idol. The only thing I would change about this season is the adding of a fourth judge. Kara gets on my very last nerve.
As far as the wild card picks I was not expecting them to pick Tatiana but I do think people will watch to see what she does and Vote for the Worst will have someone to love and promote. Personally I would have rather seen them choose Normund Gentle, he is far more entertaining, but that is just me. I knew they would choose Megan but thought they would bring Kendall back since there really isn't another country singer in the group. Idol Addiction (group three)
I am seriously cheesily addicted to this show. How do I know? Well for one thing in order to make sure that what I am going to blog is exactly how I am feeling and that the judges don't have any impact on my opinion I take notes while the contestant is singing. Another sure sign of my addiction; I don't like watching it with my family. It is something that is just more enjoyable alone. Tyler did watch it with me this morning and that was actually okay. I laughed my butt off when Scott was singing and Tyler said; "what would happen if he just walked right off the stage?"
Since I am sure you are all dying to know what I thought here it is.
First glance at this group I can tell you right now Lil Rounds is going to sing last. Honestly some things about this show are just way to predictable.
Von Smith- Well this is the best I have heard him but I am still not a fan.
Taylor- Wow she looks sooo pretty! It is a little boring in parts but also pretty awesome in parts. She sounds very nervous- her voice is almost shaking but she has a total pop voice. There is something about her that I like.
Kara is an idiot
Alex- ummm yeah this is somewhat painful and he also sounds very nervous. There is something somewhat original about his voice though he just kind of over did it or something.
Ariana- I HATED her audition and this isn't any better. DREADFUL BORING PITCHY. She sounds even more nervous then Alex or Taylor.
I am starting to think this is the worst top 36 in Idol History. Maybe the show is set up. They picked out who they wanted as the top 12 and then chose all other mediocre talent to fill in the gaps.
Ju'Not- started out a little rough but got better. I like that he put an R&B twist on the song but Jamal's twist in Hollywood week was much much better. Whoa buddy TMI about the cortisone shot in the butt. ACK
ummm Nathaniel scares me a little bit
Kirsten/Kristen (can't remember now)- I have never really been a fan but she actually has a nice voice and she looks very pretty tonight.

Nathaniel- song choice seems a little safe but I think he actually did good. I kind of like him but he really really needs to quit saying he wants to touch people with music.
Felicia- Gorgeous girl. So super cute. I really like her "phrasing" as Paula would say but she is trying to hard. Her kid is soooooo cute. He def gets his good looks from his mom.

Scott- I really have thought from day one that he was way overrated but he is going to sing one of my favorite songs so I am going to give him a chance. ACK my satellite is wigging out but from what I can tell he is doing a really good job. OH my gosh how funny he is Hi 5ing Ryan. Hilarious. I kind of like this kid.
Kendall- I imagine that if she doesn't make it they will bring her back as a wild card. They like to have a country girl in the mix. Hmmm that is all I wrote in my notes and now I can't remember if I liked her or not. I am not a country fan so I probably didn't. All I can remember is Paula saying she liked her outfit and me thinking it looked like she was wearing a wrinkly bed sheet.
Jorge- Bet you money Paula is drooling or will be shortly. Started out a little boring but had some really really good parts. I think he is the first one tonight that actually sounds like he is on key. He is pretty adorable. I like it when they are sooo humble like him. If Paula would sit down I would like him even more.

Lil Rounds- Honestly I am going to have a hard time being objective when it comes to Lil Rounds I guess she is in the same boat as Danny to me where I feel like she has been shoved down my throat. I am also thinking that people should vote for another girl in this group because there is no way the judges wouldn't pick her as a wild card. They practically worship her.

I also saw that Ricky Brady, Anoop and Matt (dueling piano guy) were spotted back in LA with some of the other contestants that already made the top twelve. Maybe they are wild card picks. That would make me happy.

Group Two- Results
Yay Kris made it!!! I imagine the judges will pick Megan as a wild card. Travis says she didn't make it because she is too hot and no girls wanted to vote for her. I disagree but whatever. I vote for whoever I think has the best talent regardless of whether they have the "whole package" or not. Most years I think that the guys have more talent then the girls and honestly I always hated that it had to be six guys and six girls- I wanted it to be the best talent regardless of sex. So far this year only two girls are in the top 12. I wonder if the judges will pick all girls as wild cards to even things out. I am just happy to have two people I voted for represented. (Alexis and Kris).
I thought the group performance was really amazing and Brooke White is so beautiful and so real and that was such a beautiful song. Love her. I was just looking on Itunes and the song Misha sang by Train is in the top 100 now along with a couple other songs that the contestants sang. (including the one Megan sang). These artists should love American Idol.
On a very very sad note. David Cook is going to be at Campbell University in March and tickets went on sale this morning at 9 AM. I set an alarm on my phone weeks ago to remind me to buy a ticket. I was soooo tired this morning that I laid down on the couch for just a second and closed my eyes. When I woke up I was 30 minutes late for work and the concert was sold out. He is also going to be at the Azalea festival in Wilmingtion but the tickets are four times as much. I imagine they are sold out as well because they have been on sale a lot longer. I checked Craigslist and there are people selling tickets they purchased for 5 and 15 dollar for 200 dollars. Talk about gouging.

Group Two
Okay a few things right off the bat. If I hear Kara call someone a package artist or commercial one more time I am going to punch something. She is soooo annoying. I also really don't like having four judges. It is too much and it doesn't really bring anything to the show- if anything it just slows things down.
Looking at group two before anyone sings I think they have more overall talent then group one had. A couple people in this group I have never seen until now and with this new way of choosing the top 12 I think audition/hollywood week exposure makes a much bigger difference. Anyway on to the performances. For some reason my editing keys are gone and I can't change color font size- even my spell check is different. Bummer.
Jasmine- Yeah I want to punch Kara. No this girl didn't do well at all. I do give her some props for trying to make the song original but it was way too low for her.
Matt (dueling piano)- I loved him during Hollywood week and he has a great voice but I hate Coldplay and he kept his eyes closed the whole time which was totally annoying and his voice sounds very shaky like he is super nervous.
Jeanine- She is one that got no exposure in Hollywood. Dang she has nice legs. Dang listening to her sing is painful. Way way over sung. (dang the judges agree with me)
Normund Gentle/Nick- OH MY GOSH I love love love this kid!! I actually want him to make the top 12. He is so so so so entertaining!! If he doesn't make the top 12 I hope he at least gets a job out of this. He is amazing to me. (just checked he is vote for the worsts pick)
Allison- Seems much older then 16. I totally thought the judges were going to tell her she needed to sound younger more hip but no they loved her. I thought she was a little loud and screechy but I still like her.
Kris- Another one with very little Hollywood exposure. The few little clips I saw of him in Hollywood were really good. I was totally freaked out when he said he was going to be singing Michael Jackson- didn't he listen to the judges last week?
I was actually pleasantly surprised. He didn't try to sing it like Michael Jackson and made it his own. I like him- a lot.
Megan- She has an original voice but her performance is a little corny and the tattoo doesn't really match her personality or something so it is throwing me off. Parts of this are okay. I imagine the judges are going to love her. Call her commercial and the whole package and all that. Well three out of four. Simon kept it real thank goodness.
Matt (the welder)- He really has an amazing voice but he isn't "commercial" or "a package artist". I do have a hard time imagining him doing anything other then singing in bars or small clubs but I thought he sounded fantastic. I totally disagree with everything the judges said.
Jesse- Very original- interesting voice- I agree with Paula about the phrasing I loved it. What the heck is Randy talking about?? I mean seriously how many notes did that song Megan sing have? He is on crack.
Kai- super corny boring performance- I never really liked him anyway

I also think that although the show may not be rigged the producers definitely have some ideas about who they want in the top twelve and make sure they get plenty of air time during Hollywood week and then let them sing last and encourage the judges to go ga ga over something that was mediocre at best. Anyway here is my rundown of the night.
Smoker Chick- Goodbye
Ricky Braddy- I didn't agree with Simon at all about the whole star quality thing. I think this guy has it. Paula hit my air time thing right on the head- and cool another contestant from NC.
Someone needs to tell Kara to move her mouth away from the mic a little bit. ACK
Alexis Grace- wowsers this girl can sing.
Brent Keith- not a fan
Stevie- blah- she sounded and looked really really nervous and her voice totally clashed with the backup singers. That seems to happen a lot
Anoop- So funny to hear these R&B songs coming out of his mouth. It was decent but not fantastic but he for sure can sing
Casey- so stinkin cute but wow that was unbearably painful. Travis called it bad karaoke before Randy did. Her facial expressions are really horrendous. She pretty much sucked.
Michael- Bo Bice sang it way better- he is making weird faces too. I hate it when they do that.
Ann Marie- started off really really bad- had some good parts but was like watching paint dry.
Stephen- Why oh why do people try and sing Michael (especially this song) or Prince or Freddie Mercury- the judges say it over and over and over again and yet for whatever reason people still think they can tackle these songs. Yeah that wasn't good
Tatiana- .....or Whitney. I tried very very hard to pretend she wasn't Tatiana and just judge her on her voice but it was impossible and the calm Tatiana is even more annoying then the obnoxious one.
Danny- He didn't blow me away and they have over milked the dead wife story so much that I am about to puke. No offense to him or his dearly departed but I just can't take it anymore. When David Cook was on the show his brother was dying of cancer and he never once talked about it. NOT ONCE. Ryan even tried to fish it out of him one night when his brother got to be in the audience and David didn't bite. People had to dig to find out why he had the initials AC on his guitar. Paula and Kara need to sit down. Goodness. Thank you Simon for bringing every one back to reality.
Travis said the two words Paula really needed to say were CRACK-SMOKE
I hardly ever vote before the Top 12 but I have decided I am sick of not having a say in who my top twelve are going to be so I voted.
My picks- Alexis and Ricky but I voted for Anoop too. I imagine vote for the worst will pick smoker chick (just checked and I am wrong they chose Tatiana- lovely) and that Danny will make it through no matter what.
A little side note about vote for the worst; with this new way of picking the top twelve they will now have the chance to try and push three bad contestants into the top 12- not sure I am happy about that.
Also I think the second and third groups are at an advantage- they got to see how bad the first group was and know what songs not to touch. I imagine they will touch them anyway.

Top 36
Well I think I am the most frustrated I have been with American Idol since the season began. They sent home adorable talented super original Leneshe Young and let annoying crazy obnoxious Tatiano Del Torro through. ACK what on earth were they thinking. I bet you that Tatiana will be first pick on Vote for the Worst and in the early stages of the competition they do have some power because less people are voting. I don't think I can take more then one week of watching her live.
Okay so here is my "live" blog. I wrote this down as I was watching.
Von- Not happy with this pick. This kid is so beyond over the top. Maybe they will help him tone it down. We shall see.
Cody and Alex- I actually cried during their sing off. They both seem like such nice kids. I really really wanted Cody to make the show but he choked during the sing off. Plus remember my previous blog- They need a nerdy looking guy who surprises you every time he sings.
Adam- Ummm yeah he is hot but there is something about him that gets on my nerves and I hated that Cher song he sang during Hollywood week.
Tayler- WOW- she got much much better during Hollywood week!!! Go Tayler!
Jasmine- boring or maybe she is just shy. Maybe she will grow on me.
Arienna- even more boring (she is who I was thinking of when I said personality of a chalkboard)
Casey- very pretty girl- love the way she dresses- hope she has a voice to match
Megan- I am looking forward to hearing her sing again. I liked her audition
Misha- blah
Stevie- double blah
Joanna- I was soooooo beyond mad when she made the show. I was yelling lame lame lame. She forgot her lyrics every song. I kept thinking there has to be something going on. First Kara recognizes her at the auditions and then they actually talk about her being a recorded artist and deserving a chance and it just all smelt a little funny to me. Well come to find out she isn't going to be on the show after all. She has been disqualified. Something about her knowing or being friends with a bunch of people at Studio 19 where the show is produced and being a "planted" contestant. They have replaced her with Felicia Barton who I can't even remember.
Kendall- I am not sure how I would take Simon calling me commercial but they got their country girl with Kendall
Another sing off this time between Jen and Kristen- I agreed with the judges that Kristen sang better. I didn't think her outfit was as bad as Simon did but I do think she is somewhat annoying.
Alexis- AMAZING voice. I think she is my favorite girl so far
Scott- great guy seriously overrated but I am glad he made the show
Lil Rounds- even more overrated then Scott. She hurts my ears. I can guarantee she will be one of the first to go and will be the judges wild card pick
Another sing off- Frankie and Jessie. Wow Frankie needs a better bra. I was so worried during this one because I thought they would go for the whole image thing with Frankie. Jessie sang circles around her. I was very happy that they made the right choice and kept Jessie
Alison- WOW!!!! I cannot wait to hear this girl sing again and she is only 16! Crazy mad vocals.
Danny- If they would quit talking about his dead wife I think I would like him better. They are totally setting it up for him to stay and Jamal to go home. LAME. I actually think Jamal is more original and I liked him from his audition.
Ricky- no idea who this guy is.
Matt (dueling piano guy)- I have liked him so far- glad he made it
Ju'not- I have only heard him once and it was decent
Jorge- Another overrated one I think they just wanted some diversity.
Brent- I can't really remember ever hearing him sing- so either he was forgettable or I am forgetful
Stephen- I really like this kid. Glad his screw up during Hollywood week didn't send him packing.
Nick Mitchell aka Normund Gentle- YES YES YES. I don't want him to win but I sooooo hope he sticks around for awhile. He is beyond entertaining!
Jackie- How did I know they were going to let her in the top 36. They always have to have their Janis Joplin sound alike I tell you. She will be gone soon enough.
Tatiana- ACK ACK ACK ACK
Nathanial and Jackie(?) sing off. Nathanial has really annoyed me during Hollywood week but I have a little bit of a softer heart toward him after hearing his back story. He sang amazingly during the sing off and so did the other guy. I now officially hate sing offs.
I totally cracked up at Nathanial's face when Tatiana made the show. Too funny. He is just as dramatic as her though. Okay not quite that dramatic but close. I am sure you can figure out for yourself which category I would put Nathanial in.
Jeanine- Haven't ever heard her but she is a cute girl
Kai- didn't like his audition but I am curious to see what he will bring to the show
Ann Marie- She is forgettable
Kris- YES YES YES- He is my favorite boy right now
And the last sing off- Matt and Michael- I had a feeling they were going to let them both through. I told you they need a couple of "older" married guys- honestly they are both adorable and both great singers. Highly unlikely either will win. Michael is so stinkin' sweet and soooo polite. I am glad they made it.
Where the heck is Anoop? I was about to freak out and then they finally showed a clip of him at the end. Phew he made it!

Sound Familiar
Let's see if you can guess which season of American Idol I am talking about. The contestants that make it through to the final cuts consist of a super nerdy looking guy who surprises you every time he opens his mouth to sing, a sixteen year old girl with a decent voice but the personality of a chalkboard, your token (could be) gay guy with a flair for dramatics, the girl that has been trying and trying for years to make in the industry- has even been signed and recorded an album but just can't seem to get her big break, a blond chick who sings country, a couple older married guys one sings country the other is a rocker, a Janis Joplin sound alike, a few random teenagers who can sing, a couple really hot girls who can't and a black chick who makes your ears bleed every time she sings but the judges love her.
Having a hard time figuring out which season I am talking about. Yeah me too.
I was sad to see both Leneshe Young and Michael Castro out. We didn't even get to hear Michael sing again- bummer and Leneshe is just plain adorable with an adorable voice. I totally thought she was going to make the show. Her being cut is my biggest disappointment so far. I really really hope she comes back next year.
I actually pretty much hate most of the contestants they are showing over and over again. I don't think the blind guy (Scott) has that great of a voice and Tatiana is on my last nerve. I did see the little horror film dude in one of the rooms that made it so that gives me some hope. Oh and Normund Gentle!!! How I love him! I want him on the show.
I am excited for the sing for your survival edition- way to put people on the spot!
